Every stream on DONLU Africa earns a fixed rate for the artist — deposited to their account, withdrawable on demand. No pool. No label deductions. No minimum stream count to qualify.
What counts as a qualifying stream? A stream qualifies after 30 seconds of continuous playback. Repeat streams from the same listener within a short window are deduplicated. Bot traffic is filtered. Listener Pro subscriber streams count at the standard rate — their subscription fee is redistributed directly to artists they listen to via the UCPS system.
Six steps from playback to your account — no intermediaries, no waiting on a third party.
1
Stream recorded
A listener plays your track. PlayBlock records the stream event and starts the 30-second qualifying timer.
2
Qualifying check
After 30 seconds the stream is marked qualifying. Duplicate and bot streams are filtered at this stage.
3
Earnings calculated
Your DAMP rate (N$0.0012 free or N$0.0027 Artist Pro) is applied to your qualifying stream count in real time.
4
Balance updated
Your NAD balance in DAMP Studio updates live. You can see exactly what you have earned and from how many streams.
5
Withdrawal requested
Once your balance reaches the minimum (N$500 on Artist Pro, N$1,000 on Free), you request a withdrawal in DAMP Studio.
6
Payment processed
Withdrawals are reviewed and paid within 5 to 7 business days, directly to your bank account. No distributor cut.
How DONLU compares
Most streaming platforms use a pro-rata pool — your earnings depend on your share of all platform streams that month. DONLU uses a fixed per-stream rate.

The pool problem in plain language. On Spotify, your earnings are your share of a fixed monthly pot divided by all streams on the platform. If a globally viral track takes 10% of all streams in a month, it takes 10% of the pot — leaving less for everyone else. Your earnings can fall even if your stream count rises. On DONLU, your rate is fixed. 10,000 streams earns the same regardless of what anyone else does.

All DAMP earnings are calculated and paid in Namibian Dollars (NAD). DONLU is registered and operates from Namibia.
Your accumulated balance stays in your account indefinitely. Streams on existing tracks continue to earn. You can request a withdrawal at any time once you reach the minimum.
Artist Pro is an optional paid plan that gives you a higher per-stream rate (N$0.0027 vs N$0.0012), a lower withdrawal minimum (N$500 vs N$1,000), unlimited uploads, and advanced analytics. The free DAMP rate is available to every enrolled artist at no cost.
UCPS (User-Centric Payment System) applies to Listener Pro subscribers. Instead of going into a general pool, their subscription fee is redistributed directly to the artists they actually listened to that month, proportional to their individual listening habits. This means your earnings from a Listener Pro subscriber reflect their real listening behaviour.
